First road bike! Need help please! Considering 2 bikes.

So I've been going crazy trying to find my first road bike. I'm also on a budget. I'm considering the 2013 Specialized Allez mid compact with tiagra for $999. Gave a test today and felt great! Then I jumped on a 2013 Felt Z5 carbon with tiagra and it also felt great. Local dealer is giving me deal on Z5 for $1299 and that already includes tax. Is the extra $300 worth the carbon frame on Z5 considering both bikes have tiagra? Thanks for help! Any other models I should consider on budget of about $1300?
