. . . my forks were shagged.
On my cycle home from work I bumped into a mate who hadn't seen my new bike. 10 minutes of enthusing about it later and whilst looking over the forks (read - poking around at them), something fell off of it. My rebound knob had fallen off! I stuck it back on, but it really didn't want to stay attached with any degree of permanence, so in the bag it went and off home I pedalled wondering if they were buggered.
Home and a quick google reveals a review which states
So that's alright then. I'm not at the stage where I need that adjustment yet anyway, it can live with my small pile of newly accumulated bike crap until I am.

The removable rebound knob gives a decent control range but is best pulled out and kept safe before it falls out on its own. Reliability is excellent otherwise though.

That adjustment should be the second thing you do, after adjusting the sag.I don't do smileys.

With work, general nonsense, and the inability to ride my 10 min commute without being out of breath I haven't had the chance to do anything with it other than ride it on the road so I didn't think it was particularly important at the moment. That said I'll be happy to tinker with it, you don't happen to have a link to a decent guide on where to on setting them up do you?0
