first post..hello everyone,
So i've decided on getting a first road bike and didn't want to spend too much on a first bike,I've also narrowed it down to those two bikes unless i find a better deal on other decent offerings at LBS around the area

from what i've read the components on both bikes are at the very low end of the spectrum but maybe there's an advantage to one over the other(eg lifetime warranty on the specialized vs 5yr warranty on the scott), I've also read about frame chacking problems on scott speedsters from previous years..the specialized is at $650 and the scott costs $670
I'd appreciate it If you guys can provide some insight on which would be a better deal of if you have any experience with either of those models.
