I had a demo on one a couple years ago. Very nice bike. Their sponsored riders do well on them in gravity enduro races.

Their sponsored riders use them for enduro racing and do pretty well.
There are a couple lads who do laps of my local downhill trails on Granite Chiefs, they seem pretty tough and take the abuse well.
They are actually quite nice looking bikes, better than the pictures on their website.

You can't see what your bike looks like when your on it. Its all about how it rides.

A mate has the trail orientated version I think its called a Jabba Wood? It turned him from a guy mincing down the trail at 3mph to someone who can ride quite fast overnight. He even started to get a bit of air over little bumps etc! :-)

I'm guessing that was down to the bike riding very well and giving him a load more confidence to rider faster and harder than he had before?

If you contact Rose UK they might be able to sort out a demo bike for you, they did for my mate.

Not really, maybe from far away they might look similar. but what's your point? Just because the bikes look similar from far doesn't necessarily mean anything. Moving the pivot locations just a little bit can give very different characteristics. Also the geo can be very different but look similar from a quick glance. The Rose uses a horst link suspension system same as Specialised while the Grapil is a linkage driven single pivot.
