Camelbak Lobo or Volt?

Have no experience of Camelbak or similar and some people say do and others don't, I want to try anyway. I´m gonna ride my first MTB race (90km) but with a CX, have been watching some on Youtube and talked to people about that race and it should not be that bigger issue =0)

Sure, it's gonna be a bumpy ride and that's why I'm a little bit confused about which Camelbak to choose... I don't need that much storage space, these two I´m interested in:

Camelbak Lobo - 3L water 3.3L storage

Camelbak Volt - 3L water 10L storage
http://shop.camelbak.com/volt-13-lr/d/5 ... 10_cl_3858

Pros and cons as I see it:

Lobo - P Slim fit, lightweight, well ventilated - C 3L/kg water at the top

Volt - P Lightweight, water placed at the bottom - C Warm as hell

Tried Lobo on in a store but without water in, obvious, and wonder how it is with 3kg of water at the top of the back/shoulder? Sure it will not be 3L for a very long time and I can put just 2L in if it really is a problem, still want to know how it works from someone who have tried it.

Haven't tried Volt because no store have it here in Sweden, it looks really warm with no visible ventilation at the back (front) and a comment about this at Camelbak.com. The test at Bikeradar does not say anything about this which I find a little bit strange. Water placed at the bottom looks really smart.

Any tips?

I recently was between the volt and mule. I went with the mule in the end due to recommendations and cost.

I don't think there will be much difference with the low water bladder in the Volt over the lobo.
with the vertical water bladder in the lobo and other bags the water is not all on your shoulder half of the water is on your lower back also halfway through your ride the water/weight will be lower down anyway after you drink your water. I think the main differences are

    lobo:
lower cost (60euros), smaller capacity (3.28+3=6.28)

    Volt:
higher cost (88euro), bigger capacity (10+3=13)

Mule (has recommended by many people):
    (68euro), capacity (11+3=14)
GT Avalanche 1.0 Disc 2011, Fixie, frankenbike

Mule is slightly larger than both but much more versatile.

It's a great all rounder, When all the straps are pulled in tight it's nice and compact. Open them up and there's loads of room.

Very comfy and well padded back support, I can vouch for this after my off on Friday.

VERY good price too, Get the Mule :D

    Thanks for input =0)

Think I will buy Lobo, cost about 105 euro in store here but that I don't think it's worth so I will be ordering it online instead. Got a tip about Salomon XT Skin S-Lab and it looks really nice/comfortable but with a price at 175-185 euro and just 1.5L water I pass.
