What type of bike do you want? The Lappierre is a light weight xc bike, the Saracen is a much more aggressive and heavier all mountain bike. Both are good bikes but good at different things.

There is no bike which is good for XC and DH. What makes a bike good for one sport makes it useless for the other.

I already have a Cube Analog Disc 2011, which i'd say would be more suitable for XC?

So i guess i should look for a DH MTB.

I would. I tried using one bike for everything. It was hard work and no fun on xc rides and too fragile aad twitchy for DH. I have since gone back to a nice light xc bike for xc rides and a proper downhill bike, for me this was definitely the right choice.
A DH bike is a very focused tool and if thats all you want it for its amazing. A freeride bike is a little less focused and more use for stuff like alpine trips but still with 90% of the ability of a DH bike.
