Off to Morzine in just over 2 weeks time with Proutster, just a little bit excited
So, insurance, any good recommendations? So far looked at;
Dogtag - £40 with £350 excess
Sportscover direct - £56 with £90 excess
Snowcard - £42 with £50 excess
Insureandgo - £15 with £50 excess, states includes downhill mountain biking, but not racing or extreme ground conditions?
Might have to query it with insureandgo just to be sure, as its a bargain if it is covered.

Not had experience of the others, but Snowcard have always been fair to me, even when I've had to claim (no fuss, no quibbles).
They've arranged cover for things outside of their usual remits, too.How would I write my own epitaph? With a crayon - I'm not allowed anything I can sharpen to a sustainable point.

Cheers clank.
Spoke to insureandgo, to ask what is the definition of "extreme ground conditions".... Basically they said as long as your riding known trails and not doing huge jumps, then it's all fine. Sounds good to me. Of course, I said what if i'm riding a known trail and fall off onto a bit of off piste.. he just laughed!0 -
I went with Dogtag, because their conditions seemed the most catered for bikepark and DH trail riding.0

Just the excess seems a little, well, excessive with dogtag compared to the others. Did you have to use them?0

No, by the grace of the gods. If I hadn't been wearing my 661 pressure suit, I'd have skewered myself through the chest with my handlebar on the first day!
the way I saw it, if I really really needed them, then the less legal fine print and quibbling, the better.
Of course, others may see it differently.0 -
On that note, i'd been contemplating taking the 661 sub top instead of the pressure suit, but it would be tempting fate too much.0
