EBAY purchase from Taiwan based seller

Am looking at a part (apparently new but without box) on Ebay. The listing is one of those which says "from Taiwan" underneath it. The shipping is free and delivery time estimated at up to 7 business days.
Has anyone ever bought anything from a Taiwan seller? Or is it best just avoided?

Yes, no problems, and if there are Paypal will sort it out. I wouldn't like to faff with a warranty issue at a later date though.I don't do smileys.

I bought a NOS X5 shifter from a Taiwan based Ebay seller recently. Cheap price, arrived in less than a week, no problems. I'd think twice about buying something expensive from that far away though.0

Not had any issues with my KMC X9 SL chain. Look at their feedback etc.0

Thank's for all the responses. I've made the decision that if Cooldad gives his blessing, then it must be alright
Placed order last night, it's for a rear derailleur. Not too expensive, bit of a saving over the UK price. Willing to take the risk when it comes to warranty. I'll post when it shows up!0 -
I ordered my shifter from Taiwan because I couldn't get one in the UK, but was pleasantly surprised by how quickly it arrived (carriage was free too).0
