Buying first bike

I've been looking at getting a bike for a while now and after reading the sticky about what bike offered the best value between 300-500 quid I had pretty much decided to get the voodoo hoodoo 2011-2012 version, unfortunately this version doesn't seem to exist anymore and I have read that the 2013 version has had it's forks replaced with an inferior fork to the previous one fitted, so I went back to the sticky today and read up a little on the Rockrider 8.1 and also found a Giant revel 0 which was a similar price, so now I'm stuck do I still go for the voodoo or go for one of the other 2 bikes, I'm hoping that you folk's that know what your talking about can help please :-)

All are decent buys, but the Rockrider is the best value.
