I'm KOM on a couple of routes I ride regularly... because nobody else ever does those routes in full. With the ludicrously short segments most of the people at the top are those who aren't doing it as part of a much larger route, and I can't sprint a section with 15km left to go because I probably wouldn't make it home. I upload occassional rides to Strava but mostly I'm just using Runkeeper to track my day to day cycling/commuting.

I did mean just manually add it on when taking the figures into account.

really?! service course or endurance? i get over 6000 miles out of my endurance tyres and counting!

Service course. the endurance on my winter bike have done 3000miles and still look much like new.

You don't have to go fast to have fun on Strava

I was giggling like a teenage girl doing it. I got home this evening, uploaded it, showed it to the wife and discovered that women really have grown out of knob gags.

It does also make it easy to produce maps of your riding - I find it really fascinating to see the roads I have ridden, and those I have yet to ride. Probably the coolest thing ever to come out of Strava in my mind!

    That's cool cheers.

I like Strava. I like looking at numbers and stuff! Also helps me keep track of my gear. Bike, components etc.
  • LOVE the nob map!!!

Why is it, REGARDLESS of age, things like this do make me laugh , laugh a LOT...I think it's just the infantile sense of humor...but I can't help it....Im mapping now to ride a VERY complicated route to add to this!!!!

Only thing is that I replaced my frame, it doesn't have an option to track that.
Kinda makes it a new bike doesn't it?!

In some ways yes, which is what I've set it up as. However it means the majority of components on the bike have done more miles than the frame.

    Good effort!

I might have to head over to Windsor to go and ride on your penis.

Hang on, that doesn't sound quite right!

I think we've found the answer to the question though - Strava is totally worth it if you like cheap knob gags. And let's face it, who doesn't?

You can visit 7Hundred whilst you are there. It's a brilliant bike shop located, erm, right on the tip.

Hope you don't mind. I have moved the topic to the "bottom bracket" section where it now seems to belong...
