Cassette compatibility
Hi all
I have a standard 53/39 double with 12-25 cassette and am looking to get a little more range for hills. Looking at the gear inches it appears a 12-28 cassette has almost the same improvement as switching to a compact so I thought I would do this as a first option then look to upgrade the chainset later if I need it.
I have a shimano HG50 8 speed cassette with Sora rear derailleur at the moment, and am trying to figure out what I can replace the cassette with that will be compatible.
Can I stick any 8 speed cassette on or does it need to be shimano/hg50, as thes don't seem to be available in a wider range?
Basically - choose me a cassette that is compatible!

Just needs to be any shimano /sram compatible (as opposed to Campag) 8 speed. Campag have a differernt spline pattern so won't fit on your freehub.Bianchi Infinito CV
