    If building bikes for 35 years counts. Spent some time between jobs being paid for it and I service a few bikes for friends. Design my own custom frames too.
    Make mine an Italian, with Campagnolo on the side..

    Do you mean people who are employed as or run their own business as mechanics or people with different careers who are more than capable of doing their own stuff no matter how difficult it may be to the average rider?
    I ride a bike. Doesn't make me green or a tree hugger. I drive a car too.

    I think he means full time mechanics working in a shop... as on this section everybody fancy himself a bit of a machanic and some might be even better at doing it that full time shop employees...
