Good day for me, 2 weeks away on business and last day in the orifice here before heading back, downside is that I'm in the office for 8 hours, hour back to the hotel, hour to sort me/stuff and then a 20 hour journey back!

    Morning Losers!

Boss was on an away day yesterday with the other bosses at work, and today she's apparently walking somewhere  I then spent the evening watching a door, and really didn't do much other than that.

Today I'm determined to be more proactive, and hopefully do the washing up at least!

    Mornin' mongrels,

Another busy day on the horizon - at least the time will fly by. Then home to domestic duties before packing the car ready for the weekend.

.....it seems the racer has been booked in for it's first rally.

    WHat can possibley go wrong?

    Onwards!

Brought the other bike into work this morning but it is still way too hot for town riding.

A better night’s sleep was had as it was cooler and fresher than the last few weeks.

Minion recruitment is now completely stalled. HR girly in charge is off on holiday and, apparently, no one can cover her job. Schedule is now September before interviewing stage. Give me back the old personnel departments we used to have. They always worked.

I think lots of tea will be needs today.

    Later……

    morning all,

had a good time on the DH bike again last night at another new track - not so local this one, I had to drive 30 mins to get to it...I know, it's a tough life  but it's made me realise I don't actually need a DH bike for a lot of stuff. I think i'm going to put the cove up for sale and buy a canyon nerve and keep the DH bike purely for uplift days.

I've already done a load of work and the rest of the day will involve me sitting in front of the computer enetering times and dates into spredsheets...oh the joy.

Afternoon off yesterday. Succeeded in finding shoes suitable for bridesmaids. Bridezilla is now asking me who of relatives she should invite to the evening do.

Work is pants today. Busy catching up this morning with stuff I didn't do yesterday afternoon and no one did for me. Apparently it got a bit heated in my absence yesterday when one of my assistants had a row with another fee earner and retaliated to being told she was 'just an assistant' with sticking a post it note with a rude word written on it to the fee earners forehead. Ahhh funtimes.

New toy is arriving today - currently it is out for delivery...

Shock exclusive - someone beats The Mule to starting the daily thread...

Feeling lardy as I'm still not back on the bike yet, but tried to do some press ups and sit ups last night to see how much it hurt and how the ribs are mending. Only partially successful.

Out of work early today as school breaks up and we are expected to go a big end of term bash for parents and ankle biters. So looking forward to that  At least I'll get a drink or 2 down me.

I almost started one anyway, out of principle ;)

Well today is proving to be interesting. A book I'd ordered has arrived, the first Game of Thrones, Hardcover version. It's literally the size of a brick :?

However, to make me smile from ear to ear, Rachel Stevens has sent me a message on facebook. This has pleased me on far too many levels really, and I consider us married now

would it not have been cheaper to buy a brick?

Yes, it would also have been cheaper to buy a pencil.

but hitting Rachel Stevens over the head with a pencil would not get her into your home!

My new toy has arrived. I unwrapped it like a child at Christmas! Glad the office is cleaned tonight as there is packing stuff all over the floor. It's now part built in the middle of my office with my boss glaring at it each time she has to walk around it.

It wasn't her lawyer, and why would I want a pencil instead of a book? I have no intention of writing one yet.

As for hitting her over the head with something, this is a fantastic idea. Of course, after this I'll be hearing from her lawyers, but let's be honest, it would be totally worth it!
