Tyre size question.

Hi guys,

I was going to put a pair of new 25mm Continental Gp 4000s on my bike. The 25mm fits perfectly at the front but unfortunately the rear rubs ever so slightly on the rear chain stay under the brake mounting point.

It only rubs about 15% of a rotation, it's that close!
Would I be ok running a 25 on the front and a 23 on the rear until the front had worn down sufficiently and then I could put the worn 25mm on the back and a new 25mm on the front?

No, I wouldn't do that. People do mix tyre sizes, but it's always the wider tyre on the back. Sounds like your frame just doesn't have sufficient clearance for 25's. Stick to 23's.

Depends if you can take the 25mm back.

If not, whack it on the front and put the 23mm on the back. Not the end of the world. I rode 28mm on the front and 25 on the back for about 8 months and didn't notice.

Would take a look at straightening the rear wheel out. Rubbing only 15% of rotation = not totally straight!
