Hi guys would it be okay to use grease on a carbon wrapped seatpost, or better to use something else?

Carbon assembly paste would stop post slippage and reduce the amount of torque you need to hold the post but you could use grease without causing damage, it'll just act as a lubricant.

Newsflash: grease is a lubricant.

It will work fine as a barrier between post and seat tube - but assembly paste does a better job of holding a seatpost in place, for the reasons stated above.

    I know, that's why I said it!

It will help stop the post seizing over time too but if the OP is concerned about that then he'd be better off using CopaSlip or some other anti seize compound.
