hi,

Just about to fit a set of XT brakes to my existing 160mm rotors and need to trim the hoses but id like to have the option of 180mm without having to replace the hose or running it too tight in the future - can anyone give me a rough idea how much excess to add on in order to compensate for any future adaptors.

thanks,

Dan

160mm to 180mm is 10mm on the radius, so not a lot, front will probably want a slightly shorter hose and rear well it depends on the hose routing could be more or less. But I've never had to alter to go from 160 to 180.

For going from 160-180 most will need about a 5mm longer hose...doubt you'll shorten it that critcally!
