I have a Specialized S Works carbon seat post like this.....

I have just fitted a new saddle, a Fizik Arione, it does not seem quite level and I can't see how you adjust this.

I have one of these on my other bike, also with an Arione and the level of the saddle is adjusted by moving the insert thing that sits in the rounded out section under the clamps if that makes sense.

Does anyone know how / if you can adjust the angle on the S Works?

The clamp assembly rotates inside the carbon sleeve to provide a near-infinite amount of angular adjustment. That should have been apparent when you fitted the saddle...

That's what I assumed should have happened but it didn't!!

Maybe a little WD40 is needed, perhaps it's just seized up a little?

No need for WD. Give it a tap - it's just an interference fit.

Christ, don't lubricate the thing! You'll be on here next complaining that your saddle won't stay put!

Thanks, I'll give it a bit of gentle persuasion later, no WD40 will be involved

All done now and the clamp actually says on it to lubricate it

Surely they mean the bolt rather than the mating surfaces of the thing??

Don't know, the insert thing certainly seemed to have grease on it when I took it out?

You can still get an interference fit with a greased surface, but you will just need to wind the bolt up a bit tighter to achieve it.
