Value of a 2000 Trek 2300 frame?
Dear cycling community,
I would like to ask anyone knowledgeable enough to give me their idea on how much this old frame is worth. It is a 2000 Trek 2300- exactly like this one:
http://www.bikepedia.com/QuickBike/Bike ... model=2300
There aren't many of these around it seems and I don't really know what to judge it against. In terms of its condition, it is has a slight dent where you would clamp the f. derailleur, and there is a lot of cosmetic damage- cable rub and other scrapes and scratches. Overall though, it feels really light for an alu frame and has a nice finish to it.
So, is this pretty much as good as junk or does it have any sale value?
Thanks for any help!!

No intrinsic value unfortunately. Whatever someone is prepared to pay for it.0

If it's got a dent where the front mech is clamped, are you sure somebody hasn't overtightened a band-on front mech and crimped the tube?0
-
No, is there any way of telling? It is only a very small dent and doesn't cover the entire radius of the tube...0

If it's in good nick £80?Greetings from the wet and windy North west0
