Value of a 2000 Trek 2300 frame?

Dear cycling community,

I would like to ask anyone knowledgeable enough to give me their idea on how much this old frame is worth. It is a 2000 Trek 2300- exactly like this one:

http://www.bikepedia.com/QuickBike/Bike ... model=2300

There aren't many of these around it seems and I don't really know what to judge it against. In terms of its condition, it is has a slight dent where you would clamp the f. derailleur, and there is a lot of cosmetic damage- cable rub and other scrapes and scratches. Overall though, it feels really light for an alu frame and has a nice finish to it.

So, is this pretty much as good as junk or does it have any sale value?

Thanks for any help!!

I'd say less than £30, maybe worthless depending on the dent and damage.

No intrinsic value unfortunately. Whatever someone is prepared to pay for it.

If it's got a dent where the front mech is clamped, are you sure somebody hasn't overtightened a band-on front mech and crimped the tube?

No, is there any way of telling? It is only a very small dent and doesn't cover the entire radius of the tube...

No, sorry have enough, I'd buy another if it had collector potential, but not a 90s a
    Alu frame.
