Hi all

Myself & a few others are thinking of doing a trip next year & we have loosely discussed the L2P routes. I was looking at mixing it up a bit & extending the route to feature more riding both in France & UK. Just wondering if anyone has done the above route in subject heading? Or a variant on it?

Cheers

We took the train from London to Portsmouth- no problem. 4 trains an hour (some very s-l-o-w) but you can't book bikes ahead, just turn up and take your luck. They also only take 3 bikes, but we begged and got round that. If you were a party of 6, I suspect they would make you take separate trains.

Ferry to St Malo- if you're taking the overnight ferry, forget the reclining seats and opt for a cabin. The reclining seats are awful and designed to make people up-grade to a cabin.

Can't talk about Paris, but we did take the train one day in France, and it was great.

    Enjoy!
