long cage - short cage
My rd2300 broke.
rd2300 has now been replaced by 2400 - and when I ordered it, did not spot that it has a long and short cage variety (don't think that choice existed for rd2300).
accidentally got long, when really needed short -(53/39 and max 25t on rear) can I get away with it?
cheers
Pete

It'll need a slightly longer chain, but otherwise a long cage works anywhere a short cage does. Is there some reason you can't send it back to exchange it for what you really wanted though?Specialized Roubaix Elite 2015

Time and effort were the reasons I didn't want to send it back!!0 -

Where did you get it? I’m looking for the Claris FD-2400 front derailleur and can’t find it in stock anywhere.
sorry for slow reply -
