Shimano HG40 Problems

I was trying to fit a HG40 chain to my bike this morning with the silly quick link and i managed to bend one part of the link. I havent been able to find another one of these link to buy anywhere but i have seen SRAM and KMC quick links. Would these other links work with the Shimano chain i have or would i need to buy a whole new chain? If they do anyone reccomend any??

KMC MissingLink for HG40: CL573(R) - make sure that it is 573 and not 571 which is for other brand chains (i.e. KMC, Sram, etc).0
