Dura ACE set up old style 10 speed

I am setting up a bike with old style Dura Ace 10 speed with the antenna like shift cables. Is there any rule of thumb you go by when measuring the cable housing from the shifters to the cable stops on the head tube. Pictures of a bike or a link to pictures will do Thanks

Set the cables up to allow you to move the bars 'lock to lock'. Passing the outer cables to the opposite side of the headtube and crossing the inners under the downtube helps to minimise scuffing of the headtube paint too.
