My Boardman Team FS saddle has ripped and to be fair wasn't the best perch for my arse. I've got limited budget and have narrowed it down to 3 saddles

GUSSET R SERIES http://www.leisurelakesbikes.com/p/3967 ... oad-saddle

CHARGE SPOON http://www.leisurelakesbikes.com/p/9630 ... oon-saddle

MADISON FLUX http://www.evanscycles.com/products/mad ... e-ec027281

They all have good reviews and not sure and I really liked my old wtb Silverado a few years ago.

The only thing is I really want white saddle.

Thanks in advance.

Standard response is the Spoon. I have 2.

You should get it cheaper than that, but if not LL do 6% or something with Quidco.

I rode WTB Saddles for years, but bought a Bontrager saddle as an emergency replacement, and found it to be perfect. Coincidentally, my roadbike came with a Bontrager saddle as well, and that is also very comfortable.
So... from that I'd suggest that they're probably a really good alternative if you previously found WTB saddles comfy.

A razor blade is better than the boardman original , my ht pro carbon has the fizik gobi xm , I used to use padded shorts , not any more this thing is brilliant though not cheap £ 70.00 from evans cycles though less on eBay .

I've put the Madison Flux on my Boardman (if there's one thing I don't want it's a white saddle, so the original had to come off, lol, plus it felt about as comfortable as a plank). Looks good and cheap price. It's the same as the Spoon, but with slightly softer padding (and side scuff panels, which the Spoon does without). I tried it properly for the first time today. Did 13.5 miles round Gisburn and it was comfortable enough that I never noticed it - definitely worth the £25 asking price.

2 spoons on 2 bikes, just work, but have a Bontrager on the MTB which is awesomeness besaddlefied, really feels like sitting on a cloud.
Currently riding a Whyte T130C, X0 drivetrain, Magura Trail brakes converted to mixed wheel size (homebuilt wheels) with 140mm Fox 34 Rhythm and RP23 suspension. 12.2Kg.

@kowalski675 I got the idea of the flux from your bike.

@therookie. What model bontrager did you get?

I like the white and don't really want to change look of bike too drastically .

This review doesn't sound very cloud-like:

It's definately a softer ride than the Spoon......the padding is thinner but more forgiving.

Charge Spoon all the way for me even on my road bike.
I've got mine from Triton cycles on Ebay for under £20

This may come as a surprise, but different people have different shaped arrises. So, saddle reviews are one of those bizarre, thoroughly pointless activities.

Good point from an expert on arrises.

I used to have a Brooks B17 on my Inbred, once broken-in it didn't need any padded shorts, even for all day rides. Spa cycles also do a far eastern version, which acrually has better leather...

Eh? Wouldn't that mean you'd buy the Madison Flux then, lol? I really like the look of the black & green Spoon, and it would match my bike lovely, but I only found it online the day after I'd bought my Flux.
