I'm sure this is a daft question, but I'm currently restoring a '58 dawes and I need some of these parts on the end of the cable that keeps the inners and outers together. What are they called so I can google some!

Aha. I thought ferrules were the bits you crimped on the ends. Maybe not then.0

They are both called ferrules except one is an outer which is what your looking for the other is an inner for the cable.0
