The forum on that other site is still broken so you might be right there.0 -
You can't really be torn between Boar Man and Trip Man, they're ideologically opposed.
Trip Man all the way!0 -
The boar man.
Just imagine him packing for the day - now have I got everything?
Water - check
Sandwiches - check
Underpants - check
Boar - yep, set to go.0 -

This guy is just superb.
No wonder Quintana didn't win that day. You can just imagine what Nairo was saying to himself after passing Boar Man.
"What was that he was carrying? It looked like a boar. It couldn't have been. A boar? No, don't be stupid."
At which point the other voice in his head said;
"Yes, little Nairo, it was a boar. And the crazy man just snapped off one of his legs.*
At which point Quintana's own legs went boom!
* This conversation may or may not have occurred (but it probably did).

I'm pretty sure it's not Berlusconi. The guy in the picture is only carrying the boar, Berlusconi would have been...ahem...more intimate with it, I feel.

Yes I see the contradiction.
Think Boar Man though is just a nutter and he's not really spoiling the race. I would like to think he had picked his spot. Running man and the flip side to Trip man - well running man just looks like a t@at getting in the way. I don't think Trip Man would trip Boar Man. If you see what I'm saying...0 -
Surprised this one wasnt included. Didnt see it myself while watching though or mentioned anywhere.

To be fair to Boar man, he is nowhere near the riders. I really hate it when people like running man get far too close to riders, particularly where its one of hose mountain stages where the crowd encroaches from both sides to leave just a tiny gap to ride through.

Agree on all counts. It's only a bit of sport, Mun. Relax and enjoy the racing.0 -
Saw boar man while walking up Ventoux & pointed out dodgy (but at the time still attached) leg. He was surprised, so clearly the poor thing had a bad trip! I like to think I helped avoid lost leg issues.
A few of my personal highlights were:
TT warm-up laps, dressed as Bully from Bullseye. Applauding Bertie to get his attention, then giving him some grief. Hopefully he won't blame cows next time.
'Commiserations on the cricket' to Aussies. Never tired of that, most were good enough sports to indulge in banter back. Cadel smiled.
Adam Hansen, beer, Dutch corner.
Getting a few DMs from Cound after pointing out Porte being great super-domestique (also referenced last year). I'm now in the 'Wiggins can kiss my ass' club.
Took my inflatable chair to Dutch corner for Schatje. Magic. Then got lifted by the Dutch onto heads, and randomly was crowd-surfing while sat in a chair! The gap between the 2 passes was incredible, no cars meant a decent length party across whole road.
It was an excellent Tour and I was v lucky to have some amazing experiences.0 -
Like RP, I've just got back from following the Tour for the 2nd and 3rd weeks.
Loved every bit of it, from Mont St Michel to prancing up and down on the Champs on Sun night. Ventoux was amazing, watching st 18 from up on the mountainside with the views and sounds of 7 hairpin bends below, seeing the depart in Annecy, the finish into Gap, helicopter rides onto and off the top of the Alpe.
Loved loved loved it.
First day back working = gloom and depression0 -

Tripmeister, followed closely by punching riders - closely liked.
Shame the runners can't be more like Boarman, keeping a sensible distance away.
Some amazing sights along the way too.0 -
Love that he has thought to bring a stuffed boar.....but no shoes.“New York has the haircuts, London has the trousers, but Belfast has the reason!0

For a behind-the-scenes hero I would vote for the guy who decided to present Hinault with a garment with sequins on it, while simultaneously presenting Mercxx with the same garment but obviously several sizes too small!
Loved the picture of Froome with JRod's children BTW.0
