My Cube Pelotan Race came with 105 gears etc but not 105 brake callipers, as i'm getting used to the bike, the brakes do not feel as responsive as i would like. Would anyone think it would be worth upgrading the callipers? Or should i just trade the blocks fro something better?

Ive got the Agree GTC Race, so maybe same brakes? I've recently swapped to Ultegra as I wasn't happy with the standard fit. Really pleased I did. £45 from JE James. Bargain IMO.Trainer Road Blog: https://hitthesweetspot.home.blog/

Try fitting Swissstop Green brake pads before you make any decisions.

My airlite 400 came with 105 levers / shifters, but tektro callipers / blocks. The tektro were appalling, swapped for a set of 105's and braking is now great.
Can't hurt to try new pads first though.Road - Raleigh Airlite 400 : Hybrid - Sirrus Comp 2013 : MTB - Orange Clockwork (2013)

+1 for these pads, I've been using them now for 4 or so months. The braking power is awesome, super strong.2011 Giant Defy 30 -

Even with the stock Tektro calipers?0 -
Some cheaper calipers come with one piece brake pads. Better sets have a metal backplate into which you slide the pad. Just upgrading to this setup will make a big difference as the force transmits better into more of the pad.http://www.strathspey.co.uk - Quality Binoculars at a Sensible Price.

My Giant has Tektro calipers and the stock brake blocks were nothing special in terms of stopping power. They also disappeared at an alarming rate in the wet. Replaced them with some Clarks pads and stopping power is much improved! Try new pads first, they can make a big difference.0
