Which Reverb, 100/125mm, and cheapest place to buy please?

Just sold my largely unused road bike and have £300 burning a hole in my pocket now, lol!
Been looking at Reverbs for a while now, so I think one of those is top of the shopping list.
The bike's a Boardman FS Pro, so I know I need a 31.6 x 355/380 R/H lever so I can run it upside down on the left, but I'm a little confused as to exactly how much distance there needs to be from the top of the seat clamp to the seat rails on the 125mm Reverb, some people state 195mm, others say you can get away with less.
From the top of my current QR to the centre of my seat rails is just over 190mm, would I be able to get away with the 125mm Reverb or would I be better off with the 100mm? I'd prefer the 125mm for that extra little bit flexibility, so hopefully someone will tell me it fits OK!
Also, where's currently the cheapest for one, still bike-discount.de? Cheers.

it's about 195mm, just measured mine (I might be slightly out but shouldn't be by much) you could get away with 190mm if you didn't put the cable guide onYT Wicked 160 ltd

Thanks for the reply, looks like a 125mm will 'just' fit.
Are bike discount still the cheapest? I'd like the full package with the bleed kit too, as I'll probably need to shorten the hose.0 -
Recently bought one for a new build from bike-discount. Cheapest I found after much googling. I had a stealth one and it came with all the necessary bleed kit stuff.Lapierre Spicy 516 XTR custom (2013) -http://www.bikeradar.com/forums/viewtopic.php?f=10017&t=129323320

I bought my 125mm Reverb from BD last year - no bleed kit.
Anyone heard of any plans for RS to release (no pun intended) a 150mm un-stealthy Reverb?"Why have that extra tooth if you're not using it?" - Brian Lopes

Merlin are often cheap. Ive seen them at £190 not that long ago. Dont know how that compares to BD. Mine from Merlin (Stealth for £200) came with all the gubbins.A Flock of Birds

On one had them in for £180.Too many bikes, not all fully built.0

If you get a 125mm travel one, you will probably find it easier to sell on if you ever want to.
I got mine from Wiggle, it was the only place that I knew it definitely came with a bleed kit from. If you have Avid brakes, I believe the bleed kit is the same as their brake bleed kit.
I also wouldnt buy one from Germany, just in case it went wrong and I had to deal with and send it back to them.0 -
Thanks for the replies.
Merlin, only 420mm L/H fitting in stock.
On-One, only all L/H fitting, no bleed kit.
Will keep looking for the holy grail...
Edit: Which post from Wiggle is the latest model, as they list 2, this one - http://www.wiggle.co.uk/rockshox-reverb ... seat-post/ and this one - http://www.wiggle.co.uk/rockshox-reverb ... post-2012/
Hopefully it's the cheaper one, lol!0 -
The 237.49 one is the latest 2013 model. Comes with a black collar and bleed kit. Thats the one I got.0

Cheers, just looks like they've got the pictures mixed up to confuse me, lol!0 -
I've just got the cheaper 2012 one from wiggle (30.9 380/125mm) and it came with a bleed kit . Apart from the distinct lack of useful instructions from Rockshox (as the user manual supplied only covers 1/2 the installaton if that) it works a treat.Norco Aurum 3 viewtopic.php?f=10017&t=129395310
