Ghost ASX plus build

I had just started riding again after a good few years on my orange X2 when I noticed the head tube was cracked. I got conflicting information about getting it repair and I choose to air on the side of caution and build new bike. Frame was on offer at CRC so decided to build one rather than buy a new bike. Took frame to shop to get headset and crank/BB fitted and I'll do the rest.

bloody shock doesn't fit - the linkage interferes with the top of the shock and the eyelets don't match up
its been one thing after another with this build0 -
In what way do the eyes not match up? The eyes are pretty much standard, you just need the right width adaptors to fit the frame.
Can you flip the shock and mount it 'upside down' other than access to a lever most don't care which way round they are!Currently riding a Whyte T130C, X0 drivetrain, Magura Trail brakes converted to mixed wheel size (homebuilt wheels) with 140mm Fox 34 Rhythm and RP23 suspension. 12.2Kg.0 -
I attached the shock to the bottom mount and when I try to put the top one in, the linkage hits the top of the shock so I can't line up the mount to the shock which means I can't put the screw through.
the mounting hardware is different at either end and I don't want to force them out and damage if I have to send the shock back. I'll be phoning TFtuned on Monday for a chat. on the plus side I've got the Fmech, Rmech, rear wheel and caliper on with no cables lol0 -
OK, not sure what the issue is (Your punctuation is off so it's not actually English - should the comma be after the 'in' or the 'linkage' - two very different sentances between the 2! Also should there be a comma after the shock or not?), photos?Currently riding a Whyte T130C, X0 drivetrain, Magura Trail brakes converted to mixed wheel size (homebuilt wheels) with 140mm Fox 34 Rhythm and RP23 suspension. 12.2Kg.0

hopefully this will let you see what I mean without the English lecture
if I attach the shock to the bottom mount and try and attach it to the top mount. white arrow shows where linkage hits shock and the red arrow the misaligned eyelets.0 -
bite the bullet and reversed the reducers - fits on reversed0

Reverse it or buy a new one, only options (I'd reverse it!), you may even be able to rotate it to put the resevoir seat tube side if you want....Currently riding a Whyte T130C, X0 drivetrain, Magura Trail brakes converted to mixed wheel size (homebuilt wheels) with 140mm Fox 34 Rhythm and RP23 suspension. 12.2Kg.0 -

Without the comma's what?0 -
Finally got the chain on and sorted the gearing - need to trim the length of the outers a bit. Jockey wheels are in need of a clean/replace. only real issue is the reducer on the bottom shock mount is a fraction too small but TFtuning are sending me out a longer one. need to sort the preload on the shock and measure the amount of free compression on the spring to see if I need to go up from 550 to 600 lb inch.
ordered chainstay protector and hope tech clamp for attaching my sram shifter0 -
swapped the avid BB7 203 for an SLX M675 with 160 ICE-TECH rotor
bike is basically complete now0 -

Nice. I just got new 2011 ghost rt lector 7500 just over a wk ago and just love it. It came with carbon flat bars but straight away swapped them for my ritchey low rise carbon ones and it rides much better now. Not seen many ghost bikes on here? Don't know why.0

What is the specification of the rear shock?0
-
what do you mean spec, the i2i and stroke? 190x50 got it from TFtuned and its got the push internals0

Do you know if is possible i use a Fox RP2 200mm x 51mm in this frame?0
-
-
new seat post and saddle - significantly more comfy than my previous viscount.0
-
new shock - wanted to try an air shock to see if there was any difference

fitted
not tried it yet offroad though but rebound seems quite slow0 -
Is that the one that went cheap on Ebay the other day, by any chance?0

There was a brand new boxed one that went cheap on Ebay the other day, thought maybe you'd got the bargain.0

Your grammar is excellent. I love how you include numbers in your sentences. Also how you spell sentence. Keep up the work.0 -

What size is it? If you didn't want a 190 x 51 with a MM tune then you don't need to feel bad about missing it, lol. I was watching it 'cos it would've fitted mine.0 -

no I did lol couldn't afford it outright so got 0% finance
you should buy my coil shock off me lol0 -
Lol. You can take solace in the interest free credit and affordable payments then - better than putting it on a credit card and paying interest.
Your coil spring rate would probably be all wrong for my different linkage design and whippet like build, lol. I have this beauty, but I don't think it would fit my Boardman, and it's somewhat heavier than my Monarch R, lol:
