Freewheel advice

So I have a SS commuter bike that gets some heavy abuse, its my go to bike for pretty much most of my riding.
I have found that using cheap freewheels (Dicta / ACS) means that I am having to swap them every month or about 150 miles or so whichever comes first otherwise I get a nasty clunk noise. Am I likely to reduce the life of the chain/wheel by swapping out the freewheel every month.
I know White Industries make a decent freewheel called the ENO but its £100 and seems to designed for skinnier 1/32 chains, I have a 1/8 chain.
Does anyone currently go down the route of swapping out freewheels regularly, what are the things to watch out for ?

I don't mind paying £6 a month for a new freewheel I am more concerned about any impact this may have on the wheel/chain etc.0

The pitch of the chain eventually gets larger - a long time down the line the new chain may slip on the freewheel, or cause the freewheel to wear prematurely. But it shouldn't wear the chain any quicker really.
Some 3/32 freewheels will accept 1/8th chains no problem.
