Changing middle chainring?

Hi all,

Somewhat of a newbie at trying to fix things of this sort. Am I correct in thinking that changing a chainring out os actually quite easy?

Remove pedal cover bolt, undo bolts from inner chainring holding pedal on, remove bolts to middle chain ring, put new one in and put back together ensuring peddle is over the marker on the outer ring?

Other than an allen key anything else i specifically need?

Cheers.

no need to remove the pedals. no need to remove the crank.

depending on the cranks you may need allen key. or torx keys. and or a chain ring bolt tool.

Sorry should probably have rephrased with crank arm instead of pedal

Shimano Deore crank so all allen key from first look last night.
