Hi There,
So the bottom bracket bearings have gone in my Boardman Team FS 2012. Is this bottom bracket a BB30 or Hollowtech?
I'm not sure what bottom brackets I should be looking at as a replacement, can anyone offer some advice?
Also, I presume this is the tool for the job:
http://www.amazon.co.uk/Park-Tool-Bottom-Bracket-Hollowtech/dp/B000C12BMW/ref=sr_1_4?ie=UTF8&qid=1374219834&sr=8-4&keywords=bottom+bracket+tool
Thanks

well what BB is it?
have you looked at Parktools and ID what BB you have?
if you cant be bothered then post a picture and someone will tell you what you have. or link to your exact bike spec......
that tool might or might not work as it only works for one of the BBs you mention."Do not follow where the path may lead, Go instead where there is no path, and Leave a Trail."

The Boardman FS Team has an FSA MegaExo bottom bracket (to go with the FSA cranks) assuming that yours is all still standard. If it is, then it's essentially the same tool as Shimano Hollowtech.0

Thanks for the replies guys, my bike is the one below:
http://webcache.googleusercontent.com/search?q=cache:60cwfeiY-skJ:www.halfords.com/webapp/wcs/stores/servlet/product_storeId_10001_catalogId_10151_productId_777809_langId_-1_categoryId_165499+&cd=1&hl=en&ct=clnk&gl=uk
It has the original bottom bracket - which will assume to be the FSA MegaExo (as it has FSA cranks) - so any Hollowtech 2 removal tool should fit it? i.e. this one: http://www.amazon.co.uk/Park-Tool-Bottom-Bracket-Hollowtech/dp/B000C12BMW/ref=sr_1_4?ie=UTF8&qid=1374219834&sr=8-4&keywords=bottom+bracket+tool

I've recently bought a Team FS. I can scan the FSA instruction leaflet for the BB and post it here, if that would help.0

Yep, any shimano hollowtech tool should fit, its teath just sit in the groves on the outside of the external cups. I have the same BB on both of my mountainbikes and it should be a real simple job taking them off hopefully whoever assembled it put a bit of grease on the threads, just remember, one side will be reverse threaded so undo in the opposite direction to the pedal direction and you should be reet.0
