Hi,
So im reasonably new to road cycling, and purchased a nice peugeot bike second had from a dealer.
Unfortunately, there is a small problem that i can't seem to resolve.
The front derailleur moves more than 3 stops (I have a 3 ring crank set).
Is the derailleur not right for my setup?
Setup:
Shifters: Campagnolo Avanti
Brakes (front and rear): Campagnolo Avanti
Crankset: Campagnolo Mirage 30/40/50
Front Derailleur: Campagnolo Veloce
Rear Derailleur: Shimano TIagra
Cassette: 8 Speed 25-11
Im hoping i can change one part at a reasonable price that will resolve the issue.
Hope someone can help!
Thanks

Not sure about that specific shifter but Campag LH ergos normally have 5 clicks and can be used for doubles or triples. The intermediate steps let you trim the front mech to avoid chain rub.0

The derraileur is fine, you need to trim the front derraileur using the high adjustment screw so that when you shift to the large ring that it doesn't over shift and chuck the chain off the ring. You'll find when this is set up right that the 5 shifts of the shifter occur very close together and shift correctly. Just ensure you adjust the low and high screws appropriately.0
