Hi

At this stage I could do with a few suggestions to start my search. At the mo she uses a crappy £100 Halfords bike. Want something that goes up hill well and not so worried about the down at the mo.
Thanks in advance....

    Rockrider 5.3 from Decathlon.....

Or find a decent used one like a Kraken for circa £200+

Thanks Beginner. The Decathlon looks a good shout.

It looks like a unisex bike or are all bikes unisex with the odd few that are just female orientated?

Should I be even bothered about this?

    Cheers

Check if it fits her, if it does it's fine.

Most female 'specifc' bikes are just a different paint scheme and saddle, some may have smaller grips....it either fits and is comfy or not! Many people need to change saddle or grips to preferance anyway.
