Fulcrum Racing 3 and 10 Speed Ultegra Cassette

I have broached the subject before but I wasn't clear.
My Fulcrum 3, rear wheel, comes with a hub that will accept an eleven speed cassette. I am using a ten speed cassette (Ultegra).
I know I have to use the spacer that came with the Fulcrums, but do I also need to use the thin spacer that is supplied with an Ultegra 10 speed cassette.
Other than to ensure that the cassette locking nut isn't applying pressure to the free hub, what is the thin spacer (supplied with the cassette) for?

I wouldn't mind the answer to this either as I just got a pair of fulcrum 3s today. I've gone with both spacers now after originally fitting only the fulcrum spacer but I'm not sure what's correct.0

Was there any 'operational' difference between using both and just one?Team Madison Genesis Volare & Condor Super Acciaio0 -
Difficult to tell as the gears weren't correctly set up. Since my first post I've done a bit digging via google and found a post on another forum that says both spacers should be fitted so unless advice to the contrary surfaces that's what I'm sticking with.0

This is an email I received from iRide, the Fulcrum importers in the UK:
Hello Mark,
The 10spd cassette will fit fine. You just need to make sure that you use the spacer provided with the wheel and not the thin one with the cassette. Do not use both.
Cheers
