Will 28c tyres fit?

just a quickie,
I saw the Giant P-R3 28c tyres on sale at rutland and wondered if they would fit my bike.
Its a Dawes Discovery 201 fitted with Kenda k-935 35c tyres at the mo, according the sheldon browns site, they might, but it depends on the width of my rims.
Am i going to have to measure them, or will i be safe buying them without checking?

It should be fine.0

Check the size of your rim, it should be marked there on the rim somewhere. Mine are 622 x 19, so the lowest tyre I can go (safely) is a 28c. Once you find it go back to Sheldon Brown's site.0
