Did you have water thrown over you in Rich Park this eve?

I was cycling from the bottom of Broomfield towards Roehampton gate this evening and saw two cyclists going the other way (at about 2030) have a bottle of something thrown over them from the passenger in the back seat of a convertible Mini as it overtook me.

I got their reg number and have called the police. I didn't see the cyclists well but did see the car/occupants.

Drop me a line if you want any more details.

Pete

Might want to stick this in commuting too, lot of RP users there I seem to recall from my occasional lurking.

did they throw a bottle or did they sprinkle some water on them? In the latter case, I wouldn't bother to call the police, given the heat wave... unless it was urine, of course...

I agree, had a drive by water pistol shooting yesterday whilst walking to the car. I'm quite sure it was just water, or hope anyway lol

If it was the Richmond-end of RP, it was probably sparkling wine or champagne, if Roehampton however..(unless of course, you're Cav? :-)
Make mine an Italian, with Campagnolo on the side..

They did that from a drop top?

Idiots, surely they are asking every cyclist who witnessed to incident to empty the contents of their water bottles into the drivers lap.

I suggest you post the VRM in Commuting Chat so we can collectively return the favour, after all it was very hot today.
I used to just ride my bike to work but now I find myself going out looking for bigger and bigger hills.

I had this myself on Wednesday, though living in Manchester its not very likely to be the same people
I was actually on my bike and luckily, right at the end of my ride in case it was anything other than water

Have we lost the sense of humour?
What's the problem with a sprinkle of water on a hot day?
