Just prepping my bike ahead of the BHF South Downs Way ride on Saturday and noticed that the left chainstay bearing/bushing is working its way out of the frame.

Any ideas how to fix this? Am I best taking this to a shop? I've not dabbled with the frame bearings at all but I do regularly check the bolts are tight and that things are moving smoothly; pretty sure this happened on my last ride.

I'm guessing I shouldn't ride 100 miles of the SDW with it like this so got to get this fixed by Friday! Help!

I'm not familiar with the Canyon frams but that really doesn't look right. I am surprised that if the suspension bolts are done up tight the bearing would be able to work its way out.

If I was you I'd book it into your trusted LBS.

Its fine its supposed to look like that. Dont overtighten it its a plain spherical journal bearing and can be easily fooked by someone not using a torque wrench.

That's weird, it jumped out at me as being different to normal! Just being paranoid I guess.

    Thanks!

No excuse to skip the South Downs way at the weekend then!!

Before a big ride I always see problems that arent there. The only thing thats come loose in my time with the Canyon is the cap on the right hand rocker pivot bearing that almost made a jump for freedom at Gisburn. It had about 2 or 3 threads left before it disappeared and knowing Canyon it would have been made of Unobtanium.
