First road bike - Boardman

I've stayed away from road bikes for years, even with mates waxing lyrical about them. I've been a runner for years now and started to enjoy longer distance fell runs (marathon distance or more), but thought I'd give road bikes a try....
It's a Boardman Road Race and got an incredible deal, £20 already off, then 10% off from Halfords then another 10% off from the BCF....plus they price matched Wiggle on some SPD's that were less than half price too, ace!
Some elite race bottle cages to come, plus a Cateye comp and some road shoes and I'm set! I was a die hard mountain biker for years but quite fancy this road malarkey....
