XTR M988 lever + XT M785 caliper

I need to replace my xt brake levers. Is it possible to use an XTR M988 lever with xt m785 callipers?

if ever it fully compatible do I have to use the dedicated XTR hose or can I use the shimano XT hose brakes?

    Yes compatable.

    Any Hose with the right Shimano end fittings.
    Currently riding a Whyte T130C, X0 drivetrain, Magura Trail brakes converted to mixed wheel size (homebuilt wheels) with 140mm Fox 34 Rhythm and RP23 suspension. 12.2Kg.
