Suspect Gumtree ads round Victoria Park, London

The same person seems to be selling many different bikes around Victoria Park, all from the same address: http://www.gumtree.com/search?q=0757263 ... ion=London - if you've lost one recently might be worth checking this out.

I've already emailed the Met cycle task force but no response (I guess as none of the bikes is actually mine, so can't be sure they're stolen).

    I think we need to be careful about jumping to conclusions as the seller may very well be a used cycle merchant, a large family having a clear out etc, there could be a host of different reasons. I sometimes buy and the sell bikes and hate people who like to brand anyone who sells or owns more than one bike a thief without any evidence.

    That being said I do believe this seller is a little "suspect" due the lack of information on all of his bikes. Spelling bike names incorrectly to avoid detection is a tactic used by some thieves on gumtree. And example of this would be his listing for a "specislized" sirrus but this could be a simple error as "a" is next to "s" on the keyboard. :mrgreen:
