If...just if I managed to contaminte the pads on my new xtr rear brake with mineral oil what would they sound like when in use, a mob of screaching monkeys pops to mind, and why is the lever quite firm during the bleed with the spacer block in place but when the pads are popped back in its mushy, I think a trip to the lbs is in order :(

mushy as the pads need to settle in. they will be moving but with the spacer things cannot move as much.

Hi Nick, thought I'd learnt everything I needed to know from youtube!!! I've just found this document from shimano and it seems I've done everything wrong so I'll give this a shot.
