as you can see from the picture i have a nasty scratch, roughly 5 inches in length, i have heard of people wet/dry sanding and using nail varnish, however i think trying to cover the scratch with nail varnish may upset the seals, would wet/dry sanding be suffice

i did look at the faqs but only the bottom 2 pics opened, my picture looks worse than it actually is, there are a few scratches that are barely half a mm, these will probably sand out fine, but the full length has took the surface off the stanchions, think it may be best to just sand and fill any deep ones and resign myself to having a surface scar
