An offer that was just too good to miss on a 2012 Ridley Damocles XL - a chance 50% off for just 1 day on wiggle before it went back to 45% off. Thankfully being a lanky bloke the limited sizes remaining was not an issue Anyway, here she is, my new commuter and training bike.

recommended one of those to a mate.....quality frame and rediculously cheap price :-) you got a bargain and a great looking bike in the deal !0

Cheers, John. I also got it on a bike to work scheme so it's only costing me circa. £620! Didn't think I could go wrong...and I was right.
Matches my Storck geometry perfectly too, which is amazing to be able to have them identically setup. Hope your mate is loving his. Need to change the wheels but not much point right now whilst they're still running ok.
Enjoy the sun!Storck Scenario C1.1 | Ridley Damocles ISP

Nice bike
Frame looks huge though!
The carbon weave looked great in the bright sunshine today.0 -
That's probably because it is I'm 6'6" and have a 36-37 inseam and a saddle height of over 84cm. I also have an ape index of +3" so need the reach...
I've had a Retul fit from Garth Kruger for my Storck so I know it's right...just looks enormous, lol.
It was your pics etc which sold it to me in my research stage, so thanks!Storck Scenario C1.1 | Ridley Damocles ISP

Never heard it called an ape index before
Mine is +2'' (assuming ape index means wingspan over height?) but fortunately medium was fine for me at 6'. I was half expecting a recommendation for a longer stem during my fit but it's all fine.
Did you hack down the seat mast yourself?0 -
Haha, something I picked up in the climbing world where it's used for anatomical descriptors - it is indeed the wingspan vs height.
The seat mast was another lucky strike, since it didn't need shortening (800mm from bb to mast top + seat stack = perfect)...if that helps also explain the need for an XL frameStorck Scenario C1.1 | Ridley Damocles ISP
