Yesterday at approx 70km to go Brian Smith was quoted on the spoilers thread stating that if things stayed the same the front group would have no bidons for 70km.

Shortly afterwards the cars were let through.

Shortly afterwards the Saxo split occurred.

I never saw anyone from the from the front 14 group get bidons before or after the Saxo split. I never saw the Vittel moto (i did see powerbar bike) and I don't recall seeing any team cars allowed up to the front group.

So the question is... did they get bidons? If so how?

I didn't see it, but discussion elsewhere suggested that the Saxo attack occurred when a Sky rider nipped back to the team car and was laden with water.

I definitely saw Peter Velits in the second group laden with bidons while half his team had gone with the first group.

That was mentioned in the commentary.

Greg Henderson missed the first split because he was laden down.

I saw Cav being handed something (Food or drink) by his sherpa. Obviosuly as he wears a skinsuit for sprint stages he relies on a team mate to carry his food and drink for him any way
