Just bought a brand new Genesis Grapil 10 for £1050. Absolute bargain for something which is that little bit different: http://www.genesisbikes.co.uk/bikes/mou ... /grapil-10

Has anybody got one? It looks good, reviews are favourable and it fits, but I would be interested to hear from owners.
Too many bikes, not all fully built.

If it fits and you like the ride, then is a good buy. Very good fork for that cash - basic, but fucntional parts but lets be straight - some manufacturers would charge this just for the frame ;-).

I would, however, get better, lighter folding tyres.

Looks nice, I just bought a genesis but a hard tail core 40 and they are lovely bikes.

    Enjoy it :)

Thats good value. Im tempted to buy one and get an XT groupset for it.

For that price it's a good buy, as SS says some parts are more basic, but all solid parts (if a little heavy), but at least you're starting off at 10 speed.
Currently riding a Whyte T130C, X0 drivetrain, Magura Trail brakes converted to mixed wheel size (homebuilt wheels) with 140mm Fox 34 Rhythm and RP23 suspension. 12.2Kg.

I'm thinking of it as a frame and fork purchase. The rest is a bonus and will probably get replaced pretty quickly.

Nothing needs a dropper post. Thats a personal thing, I prefer not to have them.

Give them a bell. They're the biggest Genesis seller apparently. Sure they can get another in.

Quick update: first ride today in the Peaks and the Grapil was superb. Its really nimble and quick to accelerate. I surprised myself on the climbs, got up a few sections that I've not managed before.

But on the downs is where it really impressed. The suspension works really well, feels very plush with both ends evenly balanced and working together.

Ditched all the SRAM for SLX. Very very pleased with the bike.
