What helmet cam?

Thought this was the best place to ask for recommendations for a helmet cam. If possible I'd like one that has battery life and recording of a good few hours, maybe around 4-5? I like the look of the Contour Roam but it's a little outside my budget at the moment. Ay other opens?

Don't do it. Surely you know they attract bad luck and cause dangerous driving by white van men.

A 4-5 hour replay of your ride sounds like rivetting viewing ...... not.

Depends, if you're off MTBing for a day and want to cut down the video later on then fair enough.
If it's to catch irate drivers cutting you up then don't bother.

The Bell end Cam is a popular choice these days I've heard. However, as mentioned before it tends to bring bad luck when riding.

Mostly want it for when on long mtb rides and don't have to bother turning it on to record all the time, but thanks for taking the time to reply, most helpful!

I've seen the dog cam mentioned elsewhere so will take a look at it. It's mainly for off road stuff but will use it for the occasional commute. I'm not going to go all vigilanty on every driver that gives me less than ideal room but I don't think it would hurt to have it there in case of a major accident.

Most cameras do better mounted to helmet than frame due to few vibrations.
