Problem with Bryton rider 50 gps

Hi all,
Picked up a bryton rider 50 bundle at halfords last week. Booted it up and went through the set up, inserted micro sd card and inputted keycode for maps. Gps works fine and i can upload to bryton site to see route taken. trouble is I cant zoom in on the map on the device. Greatest zoom shows the whole mainland of uk. Zooming out shows all of europe. I've emailed bryton a couple of times and they've been quick to respond. Tried wiping sd card and re-downloading maps from a link given by them. Updated software as well but nothing seems to work. Just wondered if anyone had come across this issue. Wanted mapping but can't afford garmin prices. Apart from this its a great little toy.

Mine took an hour to locate itself. When I first switched it on, it thought it was in tawain for an hour. Maybe leave it on for an hour after fully charging. Then select map view, press the middle blue button and move the slider to zoom in.

Thanks for reply. I've been out on a couple of rides and its logged them fine. Uploaded to bryton website so gps bit is ok its as if it has no map detail. Press the blue joystick on map screen and up to maximum zoom and its still shows most of mainland britain on screen.
