Lyon Stage 14 Where To Watch
I'm currently visiting my girlfriend and her family in Lyon, I made sure my visit coincided with the Tour's arrival and was wondering whether anyone had any idea of where would be the best place to watch from? The central Lyon options appear to be the final two "climbs" or perhaps the possibility of a sprint finish between a select group of puncheurs.
My dilemma is compounded by the fact that my french is not up to keeping pace with TV punditry, so apart from the already obvious, "Sagan will go well here" I've picked up little of how the experts think this stage is going to shape up.
Also, I've struggled to ascertain the exact location of the finish line apart from it being in the area of Gerland. The important detail of the finish line always seems to be obscured by a large red flag on all the Race Maps I've seen.
Any help would be greatly appreciated!
Thanks in advance

This any better?
Looks to me that they must be finishing just after Avenue Jean-Jaures crosses Avenue Tony Garnier, or perhaps 150 m farther along, so in front of the main stadium entrance.
At the stadium entrance is better than at the junction because in front of the stadium there is the space to set up the podium, spectator tribunes, doping control, other logistic and media stuff, ... and, unlike at the junction, there is no parapet wall around steps down to the Metro there, for spectators to stand on and then accidentally fall off backwards.0 -
Thank very much for this, definitely much more indicative than any map I've seen up to this point!
Definitely looks like a finish in front of stade Gerland0 -
