With 34 pages of mentalness with regards today's TT I think it is time to lighten the mood and highlight this forum's best posts of TdF

Today's contenders are RichN95 & Blazing Saddles

Like this. Naughty Peter.

(He's catching Hernandez of Saxo. And yes the road is narrow)

Apparently the driver had his hand out of the window, asking for 2 quid a km to use the back seat properly.

The rumour is he rode up the back of the car and sat on the roof for 5km

Any other contenders from previous threads?

Frenchie's horse post was so good, inkyfingers now has it as a signature. I second Frenchie's horse post. It ably captures the occasion that is the Tour.

the follow up posts egging FF on to post it are amusing, and also the picture of the horse is fantastic, it seems quietly amused, or in fact smug.

Ali, the Laura Trott post is quoted further up the page by Alan A if you meant that one too.

The many meanings of Thumbs Up

Thumbs up does not have a universal meaning.

In Iran, the thumbs up is traditionally an obscene gesture, equivalent to the use of the middle finger in the Western world.

In the USA, American Sign Language users use this hand shape to indicate the number ten when wiggled modestly left and right. When held stationary and thrust toward another person the meaning is 'yourself'. When lifted up by the other palm, the meaning is 'help'.

In Japanese sign language, the thumbs-up indicates a man, or male gender as opposed to an extended pinky indicating female.

In India, although the gesture is well accepted, similar gestures have negative connotations, while doing a thumbs up, if the hand is wagged from side to side in a reverse-pendulum like movement, it means "won't work" or "disagree".

In Brazil, it can be used in lieu of saying "thanks".

Thanks, do I get my minute back

No but you can have a thumbs up Iranian style.

I think ITT needs to get binned, or at least have only 1 per Tour.

Without TT's you'd have a bunch of riders just cruising until the last day of mountains to finally do something. They are essential for a good GT. That said, I'm not the biggest fan either.

I think ATCs colleagues need to be informed about all these cyclists cruising the mountains. They're in the wrong place in the Low Countries.

Oh dear god what with this and talk of donkey porn on the other thread that will not be named.

This lot are in the UK as it is. It all apparently started over an argument about whether Mark Cavendish [/b]is 'fit' in the aesthetic sense. I now feel like Morpheus and I have given them the red pill. Where will it all end? Where? I'm going back to reading about passports (real ones, not blood ones).

He is quite handsome but incredibly tiny. It would be like trying to sh@g an Action Man...just sayin again.
