Neither of these - they're only bronze rating. Kryptonite Evolution mini plus 4ft cable is more secureMake mine an Italian, with Campagnolo on the side..0

lock may be fine
those cables are easy to cut with compact hand tool, really only useful to deter casual scum who aren't carrying cutters
for what's good in locks, see first two posts here...

Sadly, no bike lock is proof against a determined and well-equipped thief so don't place too much faith in any lock.
If you have to leave your bike unattended in a public place, be very careful to leave it somewhere busy and well-lit.0 -
For home use or when out and about ?
I've got one of these for home use:

I they can get through that lot, then deserve the bike !!Science adjusts it’s beliefs based on what’s observed.

Very similar spec to the Evo and tough enough to deter most tea-leaves.
U-locks are generally harder to crack than chains, especially if you lock it on a part of the bike where thy can't insert a bottle jack. My S2 just fits through seat stays and wheel and around a post (Sheffield stand etc), leaving no 'wriggle' room.
If you want something light and easy to carry you need to bear in mind that it will therefore be easier to break. A thicker armoured cable lock will resist attack better than a standard cable, which some people claim can be cut with a normal pair of secateurs (so don't leave it outside B&Q!).Aspire not to have more, but to be more.0
